Infant Care - Pre School
The principal has done a fantastic job and my kids absolutely love this school, as do I. I think this place is such a gem in Albuquerque!
This is the first experience for many children in a Christian academic community. They will experience a loving, safe environment while learning about God’s love. Our students experience a variety of different fun days including Western Day, Safari Day, and Hawaiian Day. We venture out on fun field trips to the pumpkin patch, an aquarium, and the zoo. We also include many different cooking activities where the students help make pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, gingerbread men, pizza, pancakes, and more. Their time in our Early Childhood Development focused Pre-School continually provides amazing stories of growth and elementary readiness.
ACS is encouraging all families looking at enrolling their children in childcare programs much like ours to apply for Child-Care Aid through the ECECD (Early Childhood Education & Care Department). It is a great honor and blessing to be offering the ECECD 5 Star Program for our community. Please follow the link below to apply for this aid.

Our Kindergarten through 5th grade students are given opportunities to grow in many different areas during these important years of their development. They learn leadership skills by leading prayers and songs in assemblies each week. The students also participate in service projects such as sending letters to Veterans and volunteering at a local food bank. It is a blessing to watch the students thrive as they are not only teacher-led, but also student-led in many areas throughout the school year.
They look forward to learning outside the classroom by going to the Nature Center, the Natural History Museum, Schwebach Farms, the Aquarium, the Zoo, and the Planetarium. The students participate in a wide variety of other activities such as Speech Meet, Spelling Bee, book parties, oral presentations, and performing in our annual Christmas and Spring Musicals, and various performances throughout the year.
My daughter has learned so much academically, but also spiritually. It's hard to get my girl to leave at the end of the day. Thank you, ACS!
In the Middle School, students learn to serve their community by helping with activities throughout the school and to serve their larger community by helping at the Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home. At each grade level, they build on their class theme to help them serve in their communities.
During the school year, our Middle School students enjoy continuing their learning outside of school with field trips to the Museum of Nuclear Energy, the Albuquerque Museum, The Museum of Natural History, and Explora. Our students also enjoy exploring outside learning through field trips to The Museum of Natural History, other field trips around town, and to areas within driving distance of Albuquerque. It changes every year depending on what is happening in classes and special exhibits in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and the surrounding areas. Sometimes we take the train to Santa Fe for a day of art and museums and some years we go to the pueblos.
There is a great deal of participation in activities that help them grow, gain confidence and knowledge, and teach them many things that will help them in high school. They are very active in Science Challenge through the STEM program, Science Engineering Research Challenge, Speech Meet, Spelling Bee, and National History Day. They learn to present to judges and explain their learning process as well as give oral presentations to a panel of judges.
Albuquerque Christian School is an amazing place! The teachers and staff love what they do and love our children like God loves the church!
