We are hiring!

Our school is growing and we are looking for some great people to add to our staff. Currently, we have potential teacher roles for elementary teacher, part-time music teacher, and part-time art teacher, substitute teacher for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year based on growing enrollment trends. 

Position Summary:

The Teacher is responsible for instructing the students in the appropriate subject areas in coordination with the current curriculum and within the framework of ACS and state content standards.  Minister to students through being a Christian Role Model in word and deed in the classroom and while participating in school events.

Qualifications:

  • Devout Christian through beliefs and action 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of the subject matter assigned, classroom management, best practices, and strategies, as well as the understanding of diverse student learning styles and needs is required
  • ACSI Certificate, or ability to obtain one (we can help with this) 
  • Experience in instructing students in a classroom setting is preferred
  • Must have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities.  
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, and management skills are required

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule
  • Create and maintain classroom curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities
  • Prepare, administer, and grade student assignments and assessments in order to evaluate student academic progress
  • Communicate student’s progress and needs with parents/guardians and other school staff as needed
  • Supervise the behavior and well-being of students and administer discipline when appropriate
  • Maintain an excellent working knowledge of all policies, procedures, and handbooks of ACS.
  • Maintain professional and effective relationships with all ACS staff, board members, and families
  • Effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff
